MAKE A TRIP TO THE HISTORY OF MOTORCYCLING

Located lakeside in the city of Lahti, the museum opened alongside Ace Corner Finland in 2011. A part of the building was constructed in 1959 and it was used as a drying house for wood. The building was renovated and expanded respecting the original style. The museum is well worth visiting even for the architecture itself.

Motorcycle Museum of Finland is more than what usually is meant by ”museum”. It is a place to enjoy, visit often and visit from all around the world. Gorgeous motorcycles, variable exhibitions and themes interest internationally. Besides a significant collection of motorcycles, there are plenty of other things eg. books and suits from the beginning of the century all the way until the 80s. Thus, the museum is about to become a real experience which interests also people who themselves aren't motorists.

The whole museum project is also rather unique since it was built mainly in the old time “voluntary spirit” - more than 100 associates from different industries have contributed in the form of donations and labour to make this dream come true.

The Motorcycle Museum is actively developing Ruoriniemi-Mukkula lakeside. The unique lakeside of Vesijärvi is being cleaned constantly and the aim is to continue the popular harbour area all the way to Mukkula and the Museum.

Alongside the Museum there is Ace Corner Finland, which is a part of the legendary Ace Café London. The Ace Corner Finland is also hosting the first fully functional Rockers Restaurant and Cafe with around hundred various events and meets planned for this summer. Ace Corner Finland Lahti is already fast establishing itself as a home and destination for all who love petrol and speed!
